Yesterday I rode from Jake Mountain trailhead, up Winding Stair Gap Rd and north to Aska and the Tocoa swinging bridge.

Along the way I met a woman who was four miles from completing a solo hike of the entire Appalachian Trail.

This is the Swinging Bridge, aptly named.

Georgia Gravel. Trees are completely bare at the highest elevations.

Pavement wasn't bad either.

The Tocoa River.

If anyone is interested, the route, full ride report and more photos are at https://atlantabikerides.wordpress.com/2018/11/23/tocoa-river-and-the-swinging-bridge/

Going to tweak the route and run this again in the spring.
