He was right behind me and was 3:43 faster for the Strava segment Rambo-to-Florence !!!
32:30 v 28:47

Actually, I think my Garmin 500 is dying.
It wasn't tracking properly again today.
I'll try a reset, see if that helps.

Forgot the Garmin today.
I did a soft reset to see if that would correct the misbehavior.
The Garmin flat rate repair for the Edge 500 Red is $89, which is still far cheaper than replacement.

Think the camera/powerpack electronics is fouling the GPS signal.
GPS data from today was OK, no camera.
Need to try an out-front mount. On the GT, the Garmin is stem mounted and the camera power cable goes right by it.
