CVCA Fall Colors Ride '07 route sheets
Description: CVCA is hosting our annual Fall Colors Ride this Saturday, Oct. 27. Meet at James H. Floyd (Sloppy Floyd) Park, south of Summerville. Be ready to ride at 9 a.m. with ride start at 9:15.
Meet at park office. Additional parking at entrance to park. CVCA will pay first 50 parking pass fees ($3).

The longest option will follow the Chattooga Metric Century with an optional scenic finish for mileage of 63/67 miles. There will also be a short option of 48/52 miles. We will have one SAG vehicle for the longer route. Two routes stay together for first 27 miles and rejoin up about 15 miles from the end. Beautiful, rural routes with mostly rolling hills. Color is not vivid this year, but still a beautiful area.
Bring money for store stops.

Directions from Atlanta: I-75 N. to Adairsville Exit 306. Go west on Hwy 140 approx. 15 miles to Hwy 27 N. Turn right and go about 12 miles to entrance to park on left. Continue 3 miles to park office.

  CVCA Lunar Ride 2007
Description: We will have pizza, watermelon, snacks and drinks plus a DJ so you can ride to music.

This is a different type of ride in that it is designed to for the whole family to have fun, socalize and meet old friends as well as make some new ones in the cool of the evening. The Kids love it and keeps them busy. Last year my grandaughter did 20 miles with her friends and just had a blast (a little competion). We even had a few pace lines going.

One trip around the mall = 1 mile. Each lane is designated for a specific group of riders. The lane on the far outside is for the speed demons and the lane closest to the mall is for the kids and those who just want to take their time.

So if you want to do something different with the family, want to get the spouse interested in riding but they don't want to ride on the road, have a friend you want to get started in cycling or just plan want to have some fun come on out and join us. There are also regular restrooms and security will be on hand.
