Most reports didn't mention the cyclist aspect of the incident.
This was the only report that appeared to be accurate about the details.

The the recent string of similar attacks in Europe should have been a warning to the city of New York to place substantial barriers to prevent vehicles from traveling any significant distance on this bike path. I have ridden this bike path and this is not the only place where a vehicle under the control of a monster with bad intent could reek havoc on this super busy trail. Authorities in our area are pretty lax about keeping barriers preventing a car from entering our bike trails, for whatever reason, in place . Maybe this will be a wake up call. Too bad it takes a tragedy like this.
