After a bicycle ride on Tucson's "The Loop" bike trail last Friday, I approached a red traffic signal near the RV park where we are staying while on vacation. When I stopped at the intersection, I wasn't able to get my cleats unclipped from the pedals, and fell over on my right side. The result was a fractured tibia near the ankle, and 2 fractures of the fibia, one near the ankle and the other near the knee. I underwent surgery to have a titanium rod inserted in the tibia, and the surgeon found an additional fracture closer to the ankle.

For the next 6 weeks, I'll not be able to put an weight on my right leg. No more bike riding for a while.

That's a bad break.
Hope the recovery goes well.
Only advice I can offer:
Improve your planning...
Next time do this in November, not the start of the season.
