I know we have the ride listed on the calendar, but I thought I would provide all the particulars for the ride. Registration forms should be available within the next couple of days.

The Coosa Valley Cycling Association is proud to announce this year, the “Up the Creek without a Pedal” ride will be held on May 13. 2006. Start time has been move to 8:00 A.M. There will be a 10, 30, 62, and 100 mile option so there should be a route for everyone. Fully stocked rest stops will be every 15 miles and Sag support vehicles will be on course.

Pre registration is $15.00 Ride only, $20.00 Ride with T-shirt. Registration after May 2, 2006 will be $20.00 Ride only, and $30.00 Ride with T-Shirt.

This year we will be offering a post ride pasta meal for an optional $5.00 at Rome’s new Italian Restaurant Bella Roma, which is close by on Hwy 27.

Directions:
From Powder Spring / Hiram: Take 278 West to Hwy 101 in Rockmart. Turn right and stay on Hwy 101 North into Rome. When you come to the intersection of Hwy 101 and Hwy 27 stay straight and it becomes Hwy 27. Stay on Hwy 27; you will pass the Harbin clinic and Berry College. After you pass Berry College go about ¼ miles and you will see Mt. Berry Mall on your right. The start/finish line is located near Sears.

From Carrollton / Bremen: Take Hwy 27 North and stay on Hwy 27 through Rome. Coming out of Rome you will see the Harbin clinic and Berry College on you left, about ¼ of a mile further Mt. Berry mall will be on your right. Go to the end where Sears is. The start/finish line is located near Sears.


From Atlanta: Interstate 75 North to exit 290 at Cartersville. Turn left after exit-- onto Hwy.411/GA 20 and follow signs to Rome. Go approximately 20 miles to GA 1 loop/Veterans Memorial Hwy.
Turn right and follow signs to Berry College. At the sixth stop light, turn right onto Hwy. 27 North (Martha Berry Blvd.). You will pass Berry College on the left and come to the mall at the 2nd traffic light.
