Do you have a Junior ready for a road ride - Do you know a Junior ready for a road ride?? Juniors do you have a parent willing to take you to a road ride????
Sosebee is quite a drive from Atlanta but the roads are prefect for Juniors. Last week we were passed by 3 cars in 35 miles!!
We have 3 groups depending on strength ; -
Group A : 50 - 60 miles @ 18 - 20 mph : 1 store stop
WARNING: Although this route will have adults and young ladies that understand what winter pace means, there will be skinny little punks overflowing with testosterone riding as well. Just ignore their attacks and you will be fine.
Group B : 35 - 45 miles @ 14 - 16 mph : No store stop so take food and drink
This route is geared towards experienced kids ages 10 to 13 who are comfortable with the road and up to 3 hours of riding.
Group C : 20 - 30 miles @ 12 - 14 mph : We take one short break, No store stop so take food. I lead this group with my 8 year old. This is a great route for beginners that can handle 2 hours on the trail and are ready for their first open road ride.
We are trying to make this a weekly event for the next couple of months - so join us if you can!
Forecast is looking great with a high of 85 on Saturday.
Usual group ride etiquette applies. Helmets must be worn. All road laws will be observed. Make sure you can handle the distance and speed for the ride you choose.
Be sure to take a spare tube and inflator. Take food and drink.
