I'm old and I don't remember that commercial at all. But, apparently I won the talking beer can last night.

Thanks,
Robert

You also probably don't remember that you were hammered last night, we had an intervention, and you sobbingly acknowledged that strobes on the trail ARE A BAD IDEA.

Everything is going to be OK, Mr. Lay's.

Nah, I mostly behaved myself. Even got up this morning and hit the gaps for the first time in probably 2 years. I was too tired to notice if there were any strobes up there.

To be clear, I'm not talking about ordinary, reasonable strobes. I'm talking about ridiculously bright strobes.

I rode the trail today and noticed lots of strobes. All were reasonable - bright enough to clearly be seen but not so bright as to blind people.

Tom is right. They do help to see riders in the shadows.

What prompted this thread however, was a guy running some ridiculously bright strobe. One of the riders I was with wanted to turn around and have a word with the guy. Everyone was like WTF? If you are that guy, running a bazillion lumen flasher on the trail, please reconsider.

I didn't mean to start a war. Sorry if I upset anyone or drove anyone to drink. That's wasn't my intent.

I guess some of you don't need an excuse to drink anyway, or an excuse to be pissed off either. Rolling Eyes

Then again, for a moment it was like the days of old around here. Razz
