I know that the capability exists in most trainers but I am not able to find out how to do it.

1. I want to take an existing route GPX e.g. Skyloop
2. Upload it to a software
3. The software will then control the trainer adjusting resistance based on the elevation of the route
4. At the end of the ride I want to be able to upload the "virtual ride" with full map to strava, garmin etc.

I think Golden Cheetah seems to be the answer but I am not able to figure it out yet. Surely, such a basic functionality should be easily available somehere.

Don't think Cheetah will do this.

Look at Tacx or bkool, both are suppose to have the capability to convert a GPS file.

One real nag with bkool, the routes all adjust to the actual current time and weather conditions of the route location.
Can't be changed, night is night, the 3D terrain is there, you just can't see it!
All times are GMT - 5 Hours
