I'll be machining polypropylene and polytetrafluoroethylene (sp?) with a rotary table on a Bridgeport clone. And maybe if it's too cold, I'll get Docker running on some of those RPi zeros.

I made a PEM standoff die the other day and have been looking for any excuse to press standoffs into any sheet metal or extrusions. It's such a fulfilling feeling putting a few tons down, releasing the cylinder, and seeing a perfect little standoff that is never going to come loose from day-to-day vibration.

Here's the Go code that I am in the middle of for the Pi Zero (W).

https://github.com/the-sibyl/sysfsGPIO/blob/master/sysfsGPIO.go

I need to finish this up and break out the test main() into a different file in a demos or examples subdirectory.

I just flipped my weekday and weekend ride with each other. Did 63 miles when it was 70 degrees outside and only planning to do 18 miles tomorrow. The high will be roughly 48 with 15+ mph wind in Warner Robins. Not riding Sunday. So I will be inside like most of you outside of that one hour.

I expect to see a ton of Zwift activity from Chris this weekend

I rode part of the Sky Loop today from Acworth. The wind was challenging in a few spots when riding north but an otherwise pleasant day. 27°F at start time. There were damp spots on the road but no ice at all.

A pair of riders were heading westbound on Scoggins after I had completed the climb eastbound past the American Legion and a few riders were on the trail. People are out there.

Actually, I have been riding all winter in temps down to 17°F. It requires the right gear and riding smart, that's all. Take is slow, don't swamp your gear with perspiration, stop for hot beverages when the opportunity arises and it isn't a problem. Most of my winter rides are routed relative to hot beverage stops. Hand warmers in the shoes and gloves feel wonderful and REI sells bags of 24 for less than $10.

The Jonquils along the trail will be up soon enough though and then everyone will be complaining about triathletes on aero bars and the heat. Smart guys like Jeff Mills will just go to Canada. Laughing

Training didn't go my way this weekend, my 2nd kidney stone decided to finally make an egress.
Good news for me that it is finally on the move, not fun, but a much better option than some invasive procedure.
