Post subject: the Great Alleghany Passage
A gentleman from the Sierra Club that I met yesterday mentioned the Great Alleghany Passage trail.
He emailed me the link to the trail web site, which is well organized and informative.

This is the top viewed YouTube video on the trail.
This guy (Treveor) did a good job with the video, it only will take you about 15 seconds to see that this guy knows his bikes... and zero-turn lawnmowers.

Join us for Gordon Draves presenting “My Wonderful Adventure: Bicycling on the Great Allegheny Passage Trail in Maryland and Pennsylvania”. The 150-mile, rails-to-trails Great Allegheny Passage soars over valleys, snakes around mountains, and skirts alongside three rivers. The trail begins in Cumberland, MD and ends in Pittsburgh, PA. Gordon will describe how he prepared for the bicycle ride, what motivated him to do a long-distance trail, and show photos of the interesting sites of this historical area.

Gordon’s presentation will be from 4:00 to 5:00 PM (with questions after): at the Switzer (or Central) Library, 266 Roswell St. NE, Marietta, GA 30060 - 770 528-2320. See link above.
